Who I am

I have been an architect since 2005 and specialize in commercial and residential design, renderings, and accessibility.  My professional work has provided a diverse background in architecture.  My experience includes educational, commercial, religious, residential, and retail projects.  In 2015, I became a Registered Accessibility Specialist in the state of Texas and use my architectural knowledge to provide next level service to my accessibility review and inspection clients.

My professional path started in Illinois, my home state.  After graduating with my Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois in 2000, I took a position with Gould-Evans in Kansas City to expand my skills in design. In 2004, I joined Aspen Group, a church-focused design build firm in the Chicago area.  In 2006, I moved to East Texas to work with Scott & Strong Architects in Lufkin, Texas.  Finally in 2013, I made the natural transition to starting my own firm, and founded Z Design.  Originally based in Polk County, Texas, I currently operate out of Galveston, Texas.
